Midnight Generation

The electronic-funk, retro-pop, and disco act Midnight Generation is on the rise. Currently on tour, the Mexican group is also secretly in the studio writing and producing their upcoming album. Their funky, synth-laden, and infectious music blends analog warmth with dancefloor-ready disco rhythms. Tracks like the viral hit “Don’t Wait Up,” “Energy,” and “Teacher” (feat. Zimmer90)—taken from their previous album Tender Love—have drawn comparisons to Daft Punk and Chromeo, helping them build a rapidly expanding global fanbase.

Midnight Generation will soon be performing at festivals such as Governors Ball, Bonnaroo, and Electric Forest, among others. They are also currently supporting Empire of the Sun on their tour. Having previously performed at Austin City Limits, Lollapalooza in Paris and Chicago, Outside Lands, CRSSD, Latitude, and many other stages around the globe, they continue to make their mark. Check out their tour dates here!

Hailing from Chihuahua, Mexico, the members of Midnight Generation are redefining the boundaries of Latin electro-funk. The band—composed of Fernando Mares, Luis Carlos “Bica” Valderrama, Carlos Amaya, Samuel Márquez, and Diego Bustillos—has successfully taken their sound from Mexico’s most iconic venues to major international stages. With millions of streams, a viral presence, and a new record deal with Sony, this electronic act is quickly becoming one of the most exciting groups in the alternative music scene. Check out their live sessions for Audio Tree and Paste Magazine.
