Lily Costa creates grandiose musical moments to externalize the equally immense emotions that inhabit her 160 cm frame. At the same time, she needs those moments of softness and intimacy to reconnect with herself.

The Swiss-Portuguese singer-songwriter composes music that some listen to while running to escape, while others use it to give themselves permission to cry. A blend of power and melancholy, a narrative that is both playful and intimate, flourishing on the infinite playground of indie pop. It is undoubtedly this simultaneous marriage of contrasting atmospheres that constitutes her greatest magic trick.

“I was waiting for the right moment to put my own songs at the center of my life,” Lily confides.

And that moment has arrived. Her debut EP, Not Like You, was released on January 16, 2026.
With this release, Lily shapes her own shimmering cosmos. A canvas where opposites meet, where pain and beauty merge. Having grown up in the suburbs of Zurich within a Portuguese immigrant working-class family, she addresses themes of belonging, emotional chaos, and mental health. Always with touching honesty and a subtle sense of self-deprecation.
