Charles Lloyd

feat. Gerald Clayton, Harish Raghavan & Kweku Sumbry

Swiss exclusivity

On June 18, 1967, Charles Lloyd headlined the very first edition of the Montreux Jazz Festival, accompanied by Keith Jarrett and Jack DeJohnette. Sixty years later, the saxophonist will perform his tenth concert in Montreux. Hailing from Memphis, he was one of the first jazz artists to sell over a million copies of an album. Now 88 and with a career spanning more than six decades, this mystical musician continues to explore new paths. A nurturer of talent, he has always surrounded himself with the best of the younger generation, as reflected in his current band. His concert, steeped in history and marking the Festival’s 60th anniversary, promises to be one of the edition’s most moving and unforgettable moments.
