The 60th edition opens with a groundbreaking project at the Montreux Jazz Lab. Eddy de Pretto presents “Lonely Club”, a performance blending song, storytelling, and contemporary dance in collaboration with choreographer Maud Le Pladec. On stage, the author of “Kid” and eight dancers explore the solitude within a group: the need for belonging, tensions, and vulnerabilities. The choreography, precise and rhythmic, extends the words into a shared pulse, balancing collective momentum with moments of withdrawal. A hybrid and physical performance, where live music and moving bodies probe both what connects us and what separates us. Created at Chaillot – Théâtre national de la Danse, “Lonely Club” will tour only a select few festivals, including Montreux.
