In 2017, the singer–rapper burst onto the scene with Off the Radar, an album pairing incisive flow with internationally flavoured production. It was impossible not to be captivated by her fiercely independent and provocative voice. Less than a decade on, Noga Erez has come into her own as a fully realised, deeply engaged artist (the incendiary “Dance While You Shoot” says it all), inhabiting a space somewhere between the dark allure of Billie Eilish, the playful subversion of Gorillaz, and the experimental edge of Flying Lotus. This year, the magnetic live performer and creator of “Bubbling” brings her sleek, icy-cool aesthetic to the Festival for the very first time. A chill of anticipation hangs in the air.
