There are few musical journeys connecting Sligo to Ibiza via Berlin, but that’s exactly the path followed by Tiarnan McMorrow, the Berlin-based Irish producer known as Spray, who is now releasing new tracks under the alias Spriitzz.
“Spray for the club, Spriitzz for the sunset,” he sums up. His first track, Where R U, perfectly captures the end of the night and the beginning of a new day, with a trance style that is both euphoric, dreamy, and nostalgic.
Composed in Ibiza, this track is a tribute to an atmosphere on the island that, according to him, no longer truly exists. With Spriitzz, McMorrow aims to offer music that is more pop, less club-oriented, and lighter.
What makes Where R U unique is the vocal refrain taken from an old Irish dance track, blending Celtic and trance influences to create an emotion that is both haunting and hopeful.
