It was before “Human” and “Skin” played non-stop on the radio, before his record was crowned album of the year at the BBC Music Awards. In 2016, Rag’n’Bone Man was invited by the Festival to perform before a handful of guests for the announcement of the lineup for the 50th edition. This summer he makes his triumphant return to Montreux, playing the Auditorium Stravinski for the first time. Behind the name Rag’n’Bone Man hides Rory Graham, a magnetically charismatic English musician. Between soul, blues, and hip-hop, his gravelly voice blends traditions and intrepid exploration. On the album Human, released in 2017, epic melodies flow into massive beats in support of razor-sharp lyrics and a stunning groove. Without a doubt, this massive Brighton native is now playing in big leagues.
