Ivan Ivánovich began his DJ career at the Powder Room club in Barcelona’s iconic Sala Apolo. For over 15 years, he has been the resident DJ at Marula Café, one of the city’s key venues for groovy music. In 2012, together with his cousin Phil, he founded Rocafort Records, an independent label specializing in groove and soul reissues. With a catalog of over 50 releases, the label has earned support from internationally renowned DJs such as DJ Koco, Gilles Peterson, and Osunlade. He is also part of the team at Barcelona City Records, recently named by the Financial Times as one of the best record stores in Europe. Throughout his career, Ivan has brought his sound to renowned venues such as the Jazz Café in London, performed in cities like Paris and Berlin, and played at iconic festivals including Montreux, Jazzaldia, and Cully Jazz.
