Masterful entertainer, virtuoso pianist, unconventional composer, exuberant rapper... Chilly Gonzales is no run of the mill artist. By mixing classical, jazz, pop, electro, and hip-hop, this Canadian has been shaking up the music scene for more than fifteen years. Over a dozen albums, he has deconstructed pop in all its forms (Soft Power), rapped over a symphonic orchestra backdrop (The Unspeakable Chilly Gonzales), and reinvented romantic chamber music (Chambers). He also recently broke the world record for playing consecutive hours on the piano (27 hours!), lent his hands to the film Gainsbourg, Vie héroïque, and democratized music through instructional videos. In some of the most noteworthy collaborations of his career, this artist participated in the Daft Punk album Random Access Memories in addition to working with Drake, Feist, and even former Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker. It was with the latter that he created his latest project, Room 29, an ode to Hollywood language...particularly appropriate for such a theatrical character!
