Terms & Conditions – Spotlight Studio Contest

By entering the competition, the participant accepts the following conditions:

Participation in the competition

For valid participation in the competition, the participant must fill in their name, age, country they reside in, email address and confirm the terms & conditions. 

The competition starts on June 30, 2023 and ends on July 16, 2023 at 00:00.Participation in the competition is free of charge and independent of any purchase or use of paid services.

Eligibility

• Winner + Guest must be 18 years or older to participate.
• Winner + Guest who reside outside of Switzerland will be responsible for all costs outside of Switzerland.

Prize draw

The winner will be:

• Selected randomly on 18 July 2023 internally.
• Be notified in writing, pending all criteria for eligibility are met.

The winner must:

• Respond within five (5) days from date of issue to claim the prize, in response to the notification email. In the event the winner does not respond within the 5 days, entitlement to the prize will be forfeited without compensation.  
• The prize is awarded exclusively in the stated form; it cannot be exchanged for anything else or paid out in cash. The prize is the name of the winner only.  It cannot be given or sold to a third party. The winners will be contacted via the email address provided.
• Provide a contact telephone number and recognised ID to show proof of age.
• Once prize is confirmed, the winner must provide guest information + proof of age.
• The prize is non transferrable or redeemable for a cash alternative.

Prize Package

• All Entrants must be 18 years or older to participate.
• Accommodation: Winner + one (1)  guest will have accommodation for one (1) night at Villars Alpine Resort. Hotel Accommodation to be defined once dates are finalised. The Hotel includes bed and breakfast, room charge, all taxes. 
  Additional extras will not be included (spa, bar etc.) All additional costs are the responsibility of guests. Hotel details to be provided on prize confirmation. 
• Transport to and from Villars Alpine Resort at the expense of the winner + guests.
• MJF Spotlight Concert:  Free entry and drinks package to the value of 50 CHF.
• MJF Spotlight Winter Residency will be held between February and/or March 2024. Exact dates to be finalised. Winner will be given the option of which weekend to attend.

Prize Draw

• Winners will be notified via email in writing to the address provided.
• The winner must respond in writing and provide contact telephone number and provide ID to prove proof of age.
• Winners will be chosen randomly. In the event the winner does not respond within  five (5) days, it will be deemed that the entrant is not interested, and VI/MMV reserve the right to select another winner randomly. There is no dispute after this date.
• The prize is non transferrable or redeemable for a cash alternative.
• Villars Institute and Montreux Jazz Festival retain the right to cancel or amend the MJF Spotlight dates and move accommodation options.

Data Protection

By participating in the competition, the participant declares his or her agreement with the rules of the competition.  Your data will be used for the purposes of this competition.  However, you may be contacted once to receive communication to opt into communications from Villars Institute or Montreux Jazz Festival.

Privacy

Villars Institute : Your data will be used for processing your application or registration and might be transferred to partnered third parties to assure best quality service (such as our Travel Agency). Legal recourse/applicable law
No correspondence will be entered into about the competition. Legal recourse is excluded. There is no enforceable claim to the transfer, payment or exchange of prizes. Swiss law shall apply exclusively, to the exclusion of the conflict of laws rules.

Changes to the rules of participation & termination of competition
Montreux Media Ventures and Villars Institute reserves the right to change the competition or participation conditions etc. at any time. Furthermore, we reserves the right to terminate or interrupt the competition at any time. This applies in particular if there are reasons that would disrupt or prevent the competition from running as planned.

Limitation of liability 
To the extent permitted by law, any liability of Montreux Media Ventures and Villars Institute is excluded.
