Bringing intensity, darkness and industrial chaos, Manu Le Malin's turntable techniques are far too overwhelming to perceive. This skilled man is a dark knight behind the decks.
For more than twenty years, Manu le Malin has embodied a big part of techno history, especially French hardcore. Since the rave beginning early 90’s, Manu le Malin has become one of the biggest underground scene representatives. As a world-renowned artist, he reigns every year both on the biggest festivals and clubs. Everywhere he is, easily recognizable with his tattoos and his big vinyl collection, he plays hardcore and techno sets always in the same energetic style. Strong and devastative are perfect terms to describe his sets, performed with his own flawless technique.
Big mouth and tender-hearted, Emmanuel Dauchez has a fascinating career, albeit with a few difficulties, which led him to the most amazing techno parties, exciting projects and successful meetings. The latest: his meeting with Regina Demina, the beginning of a collaboration over a sound and theatrical project called “Crush for Crash“. He also took part in a movie “Sous le donjon de Manu le Malin” produced by Sourdoreille in 2017. But the music, saving and unifying, remains his only passion, which he handles through multiple projects: his side techno project The Driver, W.LV.S with Electric Rescue, a visual performance with Parisian collective OYÉ and of course, his goldsmith DJ sets, sheared to perfection in the bowels of hardcore and sound experimentation.
Both DJ and producer, he released several records with F-Com, Palindrome, Bloc 46 and produced with Thomas Bangalter, The DJ Producer or Torgull. Full member of the Astropolis family, he curates the festival’s hardcore stage, Mekanik. As a genuine figure, Manu le Malin is a fascinating and passionate activist. More than that, he’s the “French hardcore legend”, according to Resident Advisor.
