It’s hard to miss the phenomenal Dua Lipa. That’s her smoky, sensual voice heard on the electro-pop track “Be The One”, in “No Lie” alongside Sean Paul, and also on the latest single from DJ Martin Garrix, “Scared To Be Lonely”. From Albanian roots, this young British singer grew up listening to the music of her father, Kosovar rock singer Dukagjin Lipa. At 14 she generated buzz on YouTube thanks to videos in which she covered her favorite pop artists. Two years later, Dua Lipa decided to do some modeling in London, before being discovered by a major record label and releasing her first single, “New Love”, in 2015. This artist, a finalist for the critic's prize at the Brit Awards this year, will present her self-titled debut album, expected to drop June 2nd, at the Lab.
