People started noticing Sampha in 2010 when he released his EP Sundanza. Its electronic soul is marked by the young man’s warm, serious voice. After using his skills as a composer, singer and producer working with big names such as Drake (“The Motion”, “Too Much”), Kanye West (“Saint Pablo”), Beyoncé (“Mine” ft. Drake) and FKA twigs (“Numbers”) over the last six years, the Brit is finally back to solo gigs. Sampha Kamara, to use his full name, released the much-acclaimed Process at the beginning of the year. It’s meditative, sensual and melancholy. The 28-year-old singer will be appearing at the Stravinski before Solange – he sang with her on “Don’t Touch My Hair”.
