Stade is a drummer and a sampling wizard. Pierre Audétat and Christophe Calpini are dedicated collectors of all sorts of files. They reframe jazz with hip-hop beats and electronic textures. They spontaneously compose and deconstruct on stage, giving their imagination free reign. These two musicians have been working together since Silent Majority, a pioneering French-Swiss hip-hop group from the mid ‘90s. Stade have released seven albums on labels including Big Dada, Sub Rosa and Kitty-Yo. They have played with artists including Erik Truffaz, Grégoire Maret and Damo Suzuki. Shoes for Sale came out in 2017. It’s an electro album featuring Rodolphe Burger. This French singer and guitarist, who segues between rock, blues and electro, will be adding his warm voice and mastery of the six-string to this project at the Château de Chillon.
