“New year, new music”. That’s what London Grammar posted on social networks on 31 December 2016 at midnight. The group announced their big return with the surprise single “Rooting For You”, an unusually beautiful song where Hannah Reid’s enchanting voice takes flight against the ethereal backdrop of Dan Rothman’s guitar and Dot Major’s piano, supported by a symphonic orchestra. The lyrical, dreamlike pop of the trio from Nottingham seduced the world in 2013 when their first album – If You Wait – became a runaway success, selling more than 1.5 million copies internationally. Following on from the melancholy in the Lab in 2014, the Brits will hypnotize the Stravinski with the sounds of their new album, which they are keeping shrouded in mystery.
