Alison Mosshart has the date of their very first convert tattooed on her hand: 14 February 2002. Fifteen years later and the group’s DNA hasn’t changed. They’ve still got stirring vocals, fragmented guitar riffs and rudimentary rhythms. They’ve made the formula their own with their strong creative relationship. Jamie Hince and Alison Mosshart started out being mysterious, calling themselves VV and Hotel on their first album with its rough, raw sounds inspired by PJ Harvey and the Velvet Underground. Without betraying the things that make them unique, The Kills have evolved album after album, with poppy makeovers that get you dancing, like on the most recent Ash and Ice. Alison Mosshart has also played with Jack White in the group Dead Weather, a wild experience that has cemented her status as one of the most dangerous rock singers of the moment. After lighting up the Miles Davis Hall in 2008 with The Kills and in 2010 with Dead Weather, she’s getting ready to conquer the Stravinski Auditorium!
