At only 24, Louis Kevin Celestin, aka Kaytranada, already cuts a wide swath. Between his different remixes of pop songs, in which he brings a touch of dance-funk freshness to hits by Beyonce, The Roots, Rihanna, and Pharrell Williams, and his many EPs and mixtapes, this young artist from Montreal has garnered both glowing critical acclaim and serious popular success. This hyperactive musician has found himself courted by the biggest names in R&B, producing tracks for Craig David, The Internet, and more recently Alicia Keys. Weaned on hip-hop culture, Kaytranada last year published a funky debut studio album, 99.9%, which confirmed a decided taste for soul melodies and funky bass lines. He will electrify the stage of the Stravinski, three years after his first concert at the Lab.
