Drinking deep of the French songwriting tradition, Juliette Armanet weaves songs that are sensitive, piquant, and tenderly pop. Evoking sweet sentimental foolishness, her lyrics are tinged with melancholy as well as a good dose of humor and self-derision. The public discovered this bittersweet blend in 2015 with the electro-pop song “L’amour en solitaire”. The artist was immediately compared to the greats of French chanson, most notably Véronique Sanson and William Sheller. This success led to numerous opening gigs in France: Bryan Ferry, Juliette Gréco, and Julien Doré, with whom she sang a duet on “Corail”. After the EP Cavalier Seule, she is about to release her first album, Petite Amie. This singer will showcase her crystalline voice at the Montreux Palace, where she will set up behind her curiously coiffed piano.
