These three musicians have a spectacular project – to re-compose Bach’s sonatas. Sound designer and composer Tomek Kolczynski started by recording Tamar Halperin and Etienne Abelin, playing J.S. Bach’s sonatas for violin and harpsichord. He then drew on this material to create electronically transformed sounds. On stage, the pianist and the violinist work with Tomek Kolczyinski’s sounds to produce a unique symbiosis between electronic and organic sounds. It’s a new way to discover the timelessness of the baroque composer.
