Public Transport
The most practical and environmentally friendly way to travel to the festival is by public transport.
Trains
A partnership with CFF allows those with a concert ticket to take advantage of a 10% discount on their train journey. Tickets are available at the train stations, on Internet and at the Railservice Callcenter 0900 300 300 (CHF 1.19/min from the fixed swiss network). An increased number of trains are also put in service specifically for the Festival.
Night-trains towards Lausanne, Geneva and Sion enable festival-goers to fully enjoy their evening and return safely home (available from June 29 to July 14).
Buses
Line 201 of the VMCV ( Vevey-Villeneuve ) is free from 6pm to 4am on weekdays and from 2pm to 5am at weekends. A free pyjama bus to Chailly, Chernex, Brent, Blonay, St-Légier, Corsier and Corseaux leaves Montreux at 1, 2, 3 and 4am and 5am on Friday/Saturday nights.

Festival Access
For motorists, free parking is available in an extended area around Montreux. Free shuttle buses operated by VMCV (Vevey-Montreux-Villeneuve) then permit access to the Festival site. In addition, this offer is extended to include free transport on all buses between 6 p.m. and 4 a.m. during the week, and between 4 p.m. and 5 a.m. on weekends. Follow the traffic signs and any instructions given by the police or stewards.
Street parking is permitted until 5am. After this time, all roads must be clear. Any remaining vehicles will be towed away at the owner's expense. The Municipal Police of Montreux thanks you for your cooperation. Do not leave any items in your vehicle. The Montreux Jazz Festival declines all responsibility for any theft or damage caused to vehicles.
Other acces
Parking spaces are reserved for handicapped drivers or accompanying drivers in the underground car park of the Montreux Palace, near the Congress Centre.
Follow the signs and ask the Festival staff at the top of Rue Emery (on the lake side of the road, between the Congress centre and the Montreux Palace park).
Parking of two-wheeled vehicles
Two-wheeled vehicles, motorised or not, can be parked:
-At the beggining of the rue des Alpes
-Opposite the Montreux Palace, near the Congress Centre
-On the Descente Beaulieu, between Eurotel and the “Greffe municipal” located at Grand-Rue 73
-Along rue du Lac, at the point known as "Mirabeau"
These spaces are specially reserved for two-wheeled vehicles.
Parking of coaches
There are no special parking spaces apart from those in the town centre along Grande-Rue. Drivers are asked to stop briefly at the official bus-stops (except the two “Montreux Jazz” Vernex stops, situated on either side of the road, near the Congress Centre) to pick up or drop off their passengers. In this way, they will avoid holding up the buses and can leave the site quickly. It is possible to park at Chillon (after Montreux, in the direction of Villeneuve).
Carsharing
Carsharing
You can also choose to attend the festival by carsharing. It’s an ecological, economical and convivial mode of transport. Avoid the parking place problems and too much air pollution!
